My old jacket is too small for me.
I guess some things just get outgrown.
My wrists stick out and they're getting cold.
I'll put my hands into my pockets.
Now you can't grab and take a hold.
I'm a little too far out of reach.

You say you wanna do something new,
well maybe I can help you out.
Ill put you on top of my shelf.
Every now and then I can take you down.
You say you wanna be somewhere else,
How about over here on my nightstand?

I stick my arms into something new,
and I must admit this looks much better.
Something just doesn't feel the same.
I don't like how it sits about the waist.
I've worn this one time and time again,
and every time it feels brand new.

My old jacket is too small for me.
Its threadbare and barely keeps me warm,
but i can't help but to reach for it
every time I hear the storm.
